Split science: Active flexibility techniques for longer bendier legs

This information-heavy workshop will discuss the science behind various flexibility techniques, how they work, why to include them, and when to place them in a workout. Topics include the use of mobility tools (i.e., foam rollers and lacrosse balls), eccentric conditioning, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), nerve tension, strength training for flexibility, and more. We will follow along a template, practicing innovative drills and progressions for each topic. Students will walk away with a better understanding of common flexibility limitations, along with strategies and targeted exercises to address them. 
INTERMEDIATE - MIXED LEVEL 
Prerequisites: Current movement practice, preferably with regular stretching/flexibility training incorporated. Please note this workshop does NOT cover contortion-style flexibility.
